The workshops are critical in the thrust to enhance sustainable forest management and improve livelihoods.
About the Yiaku Laikipiak Trust:
The Yiaku Laikipiak Trust is a community-oriented organization that works to advocate for the rights of the Yiaku people, to keep their ancestral land safe, and ensure environment conservation. Along with conservation, the trust aims to blend modern practices with traditional knowledge so that the Yiaku community preserves control over their natural resources.
The Forest and Farm Facility (FFF) 2024 Grant:
The Forest and Farm Facility is a worldwide initiative that supports forest and farm producer organizations (FFPOs) in promoting climate-resilient landscapes and boosting rural economies. Thanks to the direct beneficiary grants, the Yiaku Laikipiak Trust was able to receive critical support to implement the projects the community members themselves envisioned in forest conservation, sustainable farming, and capacity building.
Training Workshops:
Building Capacity and Knowledge.
The 2024 Implementation Training Workshops sought to equip Yiaku and local community members and other stakeholders with the skills and knowledge needed for effective management of the FFF grant and the achievement of its objectives.
